The   philosophy   underlying the Criminology and Security Studies programme   is   to   produce   a crop of   graduates equipped with appropriate knowledge to advance the frontiers of research in order to make their contributions to the development of Nigeria, Africa and the global World with a sound foundation in the field of Social Sciences in general and in the field of Criminology and Security Studies in particular. With the knowledge acquired, the graduates from the programme are expected to contribute hugely to scholarship in order to fit into various fields of human endeavour both in the private and public sectors of the economy. We strive to be the best in Africa and beyond as far as Criminology and Security Studies are concerned
