The Software Engineering as a programme was designed in response to the societal need for people who possess both academic knowledge and hands-on skills in the general areas of software design, development, testing and maintenance. Since Software Engineers can apply their expertise to solve problems in diverse domains and disciplines, students are encouraged to take courses of interest from other programmes within and outside the faculty.
