The aims of B.Sc. Economics are to:

1. Equip the students with adequate academic knowledge in Economics which will enable them to compare well with their counterparts in the leading Nigerian Universities and those from outside countries.
2. Provide the students with analytical skills and techniques for analyzing and solving Nigerian economic problems.
3. Activate and stimulate the latent entrepreneurial talents in the students and equip them with necessary tools and skills that will transform them to successful entrepreneurs, capable of setting up their own businesses.
4. instill in the students the ability to respect deadlines and work under constant pressures.
