Stephen Edache Paul "Counsellor Stephen" is a dynamic and talented young professional with a passion for technological innovation and community development.
Stephen is a graduate of Federal University Lokoja with a degree in Computer Science, he has developed a wide range of skills and expertise in areas such as human-computer interaction, machine learning, artificial intelligence, software engineering, and software (reverse) engineering.
Stephen's impact in the technology industry goes beyond his work at Thomas Adewumi University, Southern Fried Chicken Nigeria and Google Developer Communities. He has volunteered for several organizations, including Nigeria Startup Bill (now "Nigeria Startup Act", Great Succeeders Foundation, and the Nigeria Association of Computing Students (NACOS). Stephen has also been an active organizer and participant in numerous technology events, including Google Business Group Abuja Festival (GBG), where he volunteered.
Stephen is a confident and articulate public speaker, having delivered several invited lectures and talks on various technology topics. He has spoken at the Google Africa Developer Scholarship 2021 Conference, Google Developer Festival (DevFest), and NACOS National Innovation and Software Summit, among others.
As a Webmaster II and Head of Training and Strategy at Thomas Adewumi University, Stephen is committed to sharing his knowledge and skills with the next generation of students. He has also served as a Lead Organiser and Community Lead for Google Developer Groups Lokoja, and as a Mentor and Judge for the Google Africa Developer Training Program's Mobile Web Specialist Track.
In addition to his professional work, Stephen is an active member of a number of professional associations and organizations, including Data Science Nigeria, the Nigeria Computer Society (NCS), the Institute of Information Management (IIM), and the Nigeria Association of Computing Students (NACOS). He has also volunteered his time and expertise for a number of initiatives, including the Nigeria Startup Act, the Great Succeeders Foundation, and the Mandate Health Empowerment Initiative.
