Applicants seeking admission to study Mathematics must satisfy the University entry requirements into the Faculty of Science by possessing the following:

Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME)

1. Five (5) credit level passes in, English Language, Mathematics and any three of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science and Economics at O’ Level GCE/SSCE/NECO/NABTEB.
2. Satisfactory UTME and post-UTME scores in relevant subjects which include English Language, Mathematics and any of Physics, Biology and Chemistry obtained in the year of admission. The five credits requirements should be obtained in one or two sittings. This is a statutory requirement for entry into the Nigerian Universities.

 DIRECT entry requirements

1. Two ‘A’ level passes in Mathematics and any other Science subject. Such candidate may be exempted from the appropriate courses in the programme. The candidate must also satisfy (i) above or
2. A minimum of Upper Credit (in OND/NCE Mathematics/Statistics) from a recognized Polytechnic or College of Education.
