Thomas Adewumi University Management and Staff, led by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Francisca O. Oladipo visited the Palace of the Oloko of Oko, the University host community on Tuesday. This is the first courtesy visit paid to the monarch since the kick-off of the new administration about two months ago.

The Dean of the Faculty of Management & Social Science, Dr. James Ishola, introduced the team and Vice-Chancellor of the University to the Monarch and his entourage as courtesy demands, this was accompanied by an opening prayer by Chief Aro. The Vice-Chancellor of TAU, Professor Francisca while giving her remarks, acknowledged the support of the good people of the Oko community. She commended the monarch for his immense effort right from when the University was to get its license. The Vice-chancellor further sought the support of the King and his people, to maintain and sustain the peace and serenity the university is enjoying. She emphasized that this support is not going unnoticed as the Chancellor has made provisions to sponsor 10% and 7.5% of the tuition of any Oko and Kwara state indigents applying to any program in the University, respectively.

The Monarch commended the Vice-chancellor on her achievement in the last two months of her administration, he further went on to summarise the history of Oko land for the visiting team. The king assured the university team of his continuous support and that of the entire community. The meeting was rounded off with prayers and blessings for the new Vice-chancellor and the University, followed by a photo session at the compound of the Oloko of Oko-Irese land.
