Prior to the main orientation, the Program Officer at Enactus Nigeria, Miss Toluwalase David-Oluwole, convened with the existing executives of Enactus TAU to review the team progress since its establishment in May 2023. In her address, she urged the team to continue developing impactful projects that reflect Enactus’ mission of driving social change through entrepreneurial action. "Your role in Enactus is key to creating projects that benefit both the university and the larger community,” she said.
Following the meeting, Miss David-Oluwole led the orientation for the new students, providing a detailed overview of Enactus as a global organization that empowers students to develop and implement entrepreneurial projects with significant social impact. “Enactus is all about ‘Entrepreneurial Action by Us.’ It’s about inspiring and empowering you to solve tackle global challenges through entrepreneurial ventures,” Miss David-Oluwole told the students. She further highlighted the numerous benefits of being part of Enactus, including the opportunity to develop leadership skills to engaging in community development hands-on project management.
The session also introduced the Enactus competition, a platform designed to showcase innovative student-led projects that drive social change. Miss David-Oluwole encouraged students to take full advantage of the platform, urging them to submit applications and contribute to projects that will have a lasting impact on society. "We are excited to support your teams and look forward to the innovative ideas you will bring to life," she said, as students actively engaged in the discussion by asking questions about the application process and opportunities within the program.
The event concluded with a group photograph and interviews for students eager to join the Enactus TAU team. This strategic collaboration further solidifies the institution’s ongoing commitment to nurturing the next generation of social entrepreneurs and empowering young innovators for sustainable development.
