On Monday, November 11, 2024, Thomas Adewumi University (TAU) formed a strategic partnership with the L&K Scholarship initiative, founded by Honorable Mudashiru Lukman Alani, the Federal Representative for Ayedire/Iwo/Ola-Oluwa constituency in Osun state. This collaboration will offer full academic scholarships to over 25 bright minds, setting a new standard for educational investment and youth empowerment in the region.

In her opening remarks, the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Francisca Oladipo expressed her gratitude for the partnership, emphasizing the University’s commitment to nurturing both the character and academic excellence of the scholars.“ These students have been entrusted to our care, and we promise to equip them with a strong foundation in their chosen fields, along with international opportunities and practical IT certifications," she stated. She further highlighted the University’s rigorous standards, noting that students must maintain a 75% attendance rate and uphold integrity, with a zero-tolerance policy for examination malpractice.

In the same vein, the University’s founder, Engr. Dr. Johnson Adewumi, commended Hon. Mudashiru’s commitment to youth empowerment, encouraging the students to “aim higher” and make the most of this opportunity. “You can surpass my achievements, but it requires hard work and dedication,” he advised, noting that the University would supplement the scholarship fund by over 10% and provide weekend job opportunities to help students gain practical experience and earn stipends.

Adding his perspective, the Chairman of the L&K Scholarship Board, Prince Lekan Lamuye, expressed confidence in the success of the partnership and encouraged the students to remember their roots and stay focused on their goals. “You’re in a school that values discipline and courtesy. Make the most of this opportunity and maintain a strong commitment to your studies,” he encouraged

The event was also attended by members of the University’s management and the L&K Scholarship Board, including the Senior Legislative Aide to Hon. Mudashiru, Alhaji Ibrahim Adekunle, the constituency’s Director of Media, Oladipupo Sefiu, Alhaji Abdulmojeed Lateef, and Hajiya Ibrahim.
