TAICO Graduating Students Embark on an Inspiring Tour to Sister Institution, TAU

In a remarkable display of academic camaraderie that fostered a deep sense of connection and intellectual growth, the graduating students of Thomas Adewumi International College (TAICO) embarked on a captivating visit to its sister institution, Thomas Adewumi University (TAU). The visit was marked by an enlightening address from the esteemed Vice Chancellor, Professor Francisca Oladipo, providing an exceptional opportunity for the students to explore the state-of-the-art facilities, and gain valuable insights into university life.

Located in the serene town of Oko, Kwara State, TAICO has long been renowned for its commitment to providing quality education to young minds. The institution's philosophy emphasizes holistic development and well-rounded education, fostering a culture of excellence and leadership. Thomas Adewumi University, licensed in 2021, embodies the same principles, making it a perfect match for TAICO students as they prepare to take the next step in their academic journey. The eager graduates from TAICO set foot on the scenic campus of TAU, adorned with its picturesque surroundings and modern facilities. The tour aimed to acquaint the students with the university's esteemed educational environment, encouraging them to consider their future academic pursuits. As the students made their way through the university, they explored the state-of-the-art laboratories, well-stocked library, and collaborative learning spaces, they also gain insights into the diverse courses offered by TAU.

One of the highlights of the visit was the address by Vice-Chancellor, Professor Francisca Oladipo. With her remarkable achievements in academia and unwavering commitment to education, Professor Francisca began her address by congratulating the graduating students on their accomplishments at Thomas Adewumi International College, recognizing their hard work, dedication, and unwavering pursuit of knowledge. “You guys made us proud, thanking you for upholding the tradition of excellence TAICO is known for”, she said.  Furthermore, the Vice-Chancellor stated the mission and values that Thomas Adewumi University stands for, emphasizing the institution's commitment to excellence, innovation, societal impact, and institutional achievement so far. She highlighted the unique opportunities available at the university, such as research collaborations, industry partnerships, and an inclusive and diverse community of learners.

As Professor Francisca concluded her address, she emphasized the shared vision and commitment to excellence between the two institutions, encouraging the students to harness their potential and become leaders in their respective fields. As the tour came to a close, the visit exposed them to a world-class institution. The event served as a reminder of the rich educational legacy established by Engr. Dr. J.B.O. Adewumi provided the students with a vision of the impact they could make in their communities and beyond.
