Dr.Raphael Awoseyin has over 40 years of international experience in the upstream and downstream sectors of the petroleum industry in Nigeria, the United Kingdom, and the Middle East. His experience covers project management, engineering, operations, and business process integration. He led the formulation of company technical standards and procedures and championed skills and career development planning for engineering, projects, and operations personnel. For three years, he served as industry representative on the Engineering Faculty Board of the University of Benin where he promoted alignment of the engineering curriculum with industry. While at Shell Petroleum, he led the implementation of SAP (ERP system) for the largest Shell E&P company in the world. A British Petroleum scholar, he graduated with a First Class Hons. Degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Greenwich, London, and obtained a PhD in the same mechanical engineering with specialization in fluid mechanics. He is also a graduate of both IMD (Lausanne) and Wharton Business School (University of Pennsylvania) Executive Development Programmes. He is a Master of Business Process Re-engineering. A chartered engineer in both the UK and Nigeria, he is a Fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (FIMechE), the Nigerian Society of Engineers (FNSE), and The Nigerian Academy of Engineering (FAEng). He has been published in international professional journals. He is the founder and Chief Executive of Danite Limited – a company that offers engineering, technology, and Board-level consultancy services to the upstream sector of the petroleum industry. A keen software developer, he has developed and published several applications for engineering, project management, security, and Christian ministry. He is married with three children, all now adults with their own families.
