The Founder, Chief (Dr.) Johnson Adewumi, while addressing the students of Thomas Adewumi University in the closing hours of Monday, the 18th of July, 2022, told them that he and his wife thought it rightful to meet and formally inform them of the subsequent changes that will be occurring in the university. Most importantly, the arrival of the new Vice-chancellor.
He enjoined them to cooperate with the new Vice-Chancellor by being open-minded and embracing the change. He appreciated the students for being well-behaved and encouraged them to always abide by the school’s code of conduct.
Dr. J.B.O also highlighted some of the numerous plans already being organized by the new vice-chancellor. These include an exchange program with international universities, faculty members from international institutions coming for sabbaticals in TAU, and provision for international grants for exceptional students and staff members. He advised the students to embrace the culture they’re being taught and also embrace hard work. He added that on-campus jobs should commence in the coming week, and only students with good academic performances will be employed.
Also in attendance for the meeting were; the Dean of student affairs (Dr. Oduwaiye), the Director of Technical and Vocational Centre (Mr. Olanrewaju Oladimeji), and the Director of works (Engr. Lanre Ilesanmi).
