The Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), Omu Aran Chapter, embarked on a significant outreach by paying a courtesy visit to Thomas Adewumi University (TAU) in Oko, Kwara State. Led by Engr. John Ramonu, the Chairman of the NSE Omu Aran Chapter, the delegation was warmly received by the University's management and some faculty members. The visit aimed to promote knowledge exchange, and strengthen the ties between the engineering community and the educational institution.

During the meeting with the University's Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Francisca Oladipo, and other key officials of the University, discussions centered on the importance of fostering partnerships between the industry and academia to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world applications. Engr. John highlighted the role the NSE plays in promoting professional development, knowledge sharing, and ethical standards within the engineering community. The delegation was given a tour of the University's engineering facilities, which include state-of-the-art laboratories, workshops, and research centers dedicated to various engineering disciplines.
