Al-Hikmah University Management Team Pay a Cordial Return Visit to Thomas Adewumi University

In an atmosphere of friendliness and academic cooperation, the Vice-Chancellor of Al-Hikmah University, Ilorin, Prof. Noah Yusuf, alongside the esteemed members of the University's management team, paid a warm return visit to Thomas Adewumi University, Oko. The visit aimed to strengthen ties between the two institutions, foster mutual understanding, and explore potential areas of partnership.

The delegation from Al-Hikmah University was received with a gracious welcome by the Vice-Chancellor of Thomas Adewumi University, Prof. Francisca Oladipo, Principal Officers, and key representatives of the University's faculty and administration. The visit began with a formal meeting between the leadership teams of both universities, during which they engaged in discussions on a wide range of academic collaboration and partnerships.

At the commencement of the meeting, the host Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Francisca Oladipo welcomed the team to the University campus “We are so glad to have the entire powerhouse of Al-Hikmah University in our campus today” she said. While appreciating them, she stated the huge support of the University towards the building of TAU’s Faculty of Law. The Vice-Chancellor of Al-Hikmah University appreciated the TAU management team for hosting them, delivering the Founder’s goodwill message to the University community. He further gave a brief history of his University as the first private Islamic University in Nigeria. 

During the meeting, the Vice-Chancellor of Al-Hikmah University expressed his delight at the opportunity to reconnect with Thomas Adewumi University, praising the institution's commitment to academic excellence and research advancements. Prof. Noah Yusuf also acknowledged the remarkable strides made by TAU in promoting quality education and fostering a conducive learning environment for students. In response, Prof. Francisca Oladipo, the Vice-Chancellor of Thomas Adewumi University, conveyed her appreciation for the return visit, emphasizing the importance of collaboration among Nigerian universities, especially the KU8 (a consortium of Universities in Kwara State) in promoting a culture of knowledge sharing and elevating the standard of higher education within the state and the country at large.

The high-level meeting was followed by a campus tour, during which the Al-Hikmah University delegation was given a glimpse of Thomas Adewumi University's state-of-the-art facilities, and the Institution's environment at large. The tour offered an opportunity for both Universities to exchange ideas and share best practices in various academic disciplines. In a joint statement issued during the visit, both Vice-Chancellors expressed their commitment to fostering a robust partnership that would benefit students, faculty, and researchers from both institutions. They also affirmed their shared vision of contributing to the advancement of knowledge, promoting academic excellence, and addressing societal challenges through innovative research and community engagement.

The return visit of the Al-Hikmah University’s management team to TAU reflects the essence of academic camaraderie and collaboration among Universities in Kwara state. As the two institutions embark on this journey of cooperation, their collective efforts are poised to make a meaningful impact on the Nigerian higher education landscape.
