IndabaX Nigeria Conference Celebrates Women in AI and ML with Inspiring Panel Session

The final day of the IndabaX Conference concluded on a high note with a captivating panel session that celebrated the achievements and contributions of women in the fields of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML). The session, dedicated to empowering women and promoting diversity in the tech industry, featured accomplished female professionals Dr. Sakinat Folorunsho, Prof. Abikoye, Dr. Marion,  Dr. Roseline Ogundokun, Dr. Salihu, Mrs. Ayodele Awokoya, and  Mrs. Ganiyat Afolabi, who shared their experiences, insights, and vision for a more inclusive AI and ML landscape.

The Panel session served as a platform to discuss the importance of diversity and inclusion in AI and ML and the role of women in driving innovation and progress in these fields. The panelists highlighted the unique perspectives and talents that women bring to the table, emphasizing the need for equal representation and opportunities. They addressed the challenges faced by women in the tech industry and underscored the significance of mentorship, networking, and supportive communities in nurturing female talent.

The Panelists, comprising prominent female leaders in AI and ML, shared their journeys and inspiring stories of overcoming obstacles and breaking barriers. They showcased their notable achievements in research, industry, and academia, inspiring attendees to pursue their passions and strive for excellence in AI and ML. They encouraged participants to actively contribute to shaping the future of AI and ML, emphasizing the significance of interdisciplinary collaborations and continuous learning.
