Admission Requirement(s)
To be considered for admission into the M.Sc. in Mass Communication program, applicants must meet the following requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree:
- A completed undergraduate degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, or a closely related field from an accredited institution. Applicants with a degree in a different discipline may be considered if they have a strong background in social sciences or humanities.

Minimum GPA:
- A minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale (or its equivalent) in the undergraduate program is required for admission.

Academic Transcripts:
- Official transcripts from all post-secondary institutions attended, showing the applicant’s academic performance, must be submitted.

Letters of Recommendation:
- Three (3) letters of recommendation from professors, employers, or professionals who can attest to the applicant’s academic abilities, work experience, and potential for success in graduate study.

Statement of Purpose:
- A written statement outlining the applicant’s career objectives, academic interests, and reasons for pursuing an M.Sc. in Mass Communication. The statement should demonstrate the applicant’s motivation for studying mass communication at an advanced level.

Portfolio (Optional):
- Applicants with relevant media experience (e.g., journalism, public relations, or media production) may be asked to submit a portfolio showcasing their work, though this is not mandatory.

Qualifying Examination:
- Some candidates may be required to take a qualifying examination to assess their readiness for graduate-level study. Admission may be based on performance in this examination.
