CBN Visits TAU to Discuss Food Value Chain Development Scheme

Thomas Adewumi University received representatives from the Central Bank of Nigeria, Mr. Gbolahan Olomide, and Mr. Abdulrahman Daibu on Thursday, 3rd of November, 2020. The purpose of the visit is to guide Thomas Adewumi University on the processes of applying for the Tertiary Institution Cassava Value Chain Development Initiative, a subset of the CBN Food Value Chain Development Scheme.

CBN Visits TAU to Discuss Food Value Chain Development Scheme

Thomas Adewumi University received representatives from the Central Bank of Nigeria, Mr. Gbolahan Olomide, and Mr. Abdulrahman Daibu on Thursday, 3rd of November, 2020. The purpose of the visit is to guide Thomas Adewumi University on the processes of applying for the Tertiary Institution Cassava Value Chain Development Initiative, a subset of the CBN Food Value Chain Development Scheme.

The convergence is a follow-up on their previous visit a couple of weeks back. The Vice-chancellor, Prof. Francisca, and other members of the Management received the guest at the office of the Vice-chancellor.

According to the representatives of CBN, the initiative is open to all universities and attracts a grant of two billion naira with a 9% interest rate per annum, payable over 10 years. The representatives added that all interested institutions would apply through their home participating financial institution, which will reach out through the Central Bank of Nigeria for further instructions.
