A very warm welcome to 2023

On behalf of Thomas Adewumi University, I warmly welcome you to the Campuses after the end of the year holidays. I bring you warm greetings from the Chancellor, the Board of Trustees and the Governing Council. I wish to specifically thank you all for your dedication, support, sacrifices and invaluable contributions that made last year a laudable and remarkable one. Thank you.

I am looking forward to well refreshed students, faculty, staff, partners and University friends. We have ensured that both campuses have a more serene and cleaner look in preparation for your resumption. If you move round the teaching and research facilities on our campuses, you will notice new structures, renovations and remodeling of some buildings. Arrangements are also in place for the installation of new office furnishing and equipment.

This year, we are pushing forward on our expansion programmes. Today, the TAU management approved the proposed Half-Year Action Plan for 2023, we have commenced the process of establishing two new programmes in the Faculty of Basic Medical and Health Sciences, as well as the establishment of the Faculty of Engineering.

This quarter, the University will upgrade the campus wide area network and establish the Legacy Data Centre to enhance teaching, learning, research and administration within the University.

The University is keen on achieving one of her strategic goals; improving access to quality education through academic collaborations and partnerships, so I invite you all to look out for the announcements on our students’ summer abroad program very soon.

The year 2023 is one full of fruitful outcomes. I therefore welcome you to the campus, enjoy your stay and come out in flying colours.

Sincerely,

Professor Francisca Oladipo, PhD, FNCS, FASI, FPASRC Vice-Chancellor
