Sentforth Ceremony, Official Handing Over Of Pioneer VC

This past week was an array of activities for the official Handing-over ceremony of the pioneer VC, Prof. Luke Ayorinde. The ceremonious handing over started on Sunday, 16th July 2022, at the college Chapel, where the founder and his wife, together with staff and students of the university, held a sent forth service in honor of the outgoing Vice-Chancellor.

This past week was an array of activities for the official Handing-over ceremony of the pioneer VC, Prof. Luke Ayorinde. The ceremonious handing over started on Sunday, 16th July 2022, at the college Chapel, where the founder and his wife, together with staff and students of the university, held a sent forth service in honor of the outgoing Vice-Chancellor.

Later in the week, a ceremonious sent forth took place on thursday, where all students and staff members of the institution displayed their love and recounted the memorable moments they had during Professor Luke’s administration. A good number of those present at the ceremony said their goodwill messages. The final and official handing-over of the outgoing vice-chancellor took place on Friday, 22nd July 2022, at about 10 am at the Senate Chamber, where He handed over all necessary documents to the Pro-chancellor in the presence of the BOT and management staff of TAU.

The Pro-chancellor opened the meeting with remarks about the pioneer VC. He narrated how far the VC has worked hard to bring the university to where it is now, from being the chairman of PIC. While the university was yet a proposed project to now that the second session of the university had commenced.He appreciated the VC for his efforts in building the university thus far. He highlighted some of the achievements of the VC and how he had helped the university attain remarkable feats during his administration.

A member of the BOT, Dr. Oderinde continued by also thanking the VC for his profound hard work and the high integrity he has maintained since he knew him. Dr. Oderinde mentioned how the outgoing vice-chancellor’s integrity reflects in the work done at TAU thus far. Other remarks followed in appreciation of the VC by the Dean of Management and Social sciences (Dr. Ishola), Acting Liberian (Ms. Lois Adeboye), Mr. Olabode, and Dr. Olofinlade.

The handing-over ceremony ended with a group photograph of personnel present with the outgoing vice-chancellor.
